POLICIES & PROCEDURES

CLASSROOM POLICIES

1. Please arrive on time. Any late students may not be admitted into class, and will have to make it up in order to receive a completion certificate.

2. Please bring your text book to class

3. Texting and Cell phone calls are not permitted during class. Our instructors thrive on their student’s undivided attention!

4. Students enrolled in the 8 Hour Safe Driving Course must show up for the class they registered for. If you are unable to make the class you are enrolled in, please contact the office ahead of time so we can make alternate arrangements for you.  If you do not show up and don’t reschedule – we will have to charge you a $50 rescheduling fee (sorry!)

We all want to have fun while learning, we do however need to keep focused.  Please don’t disrupt the class; we would hate to have to ask you to leave.  If you are removed from class for any reason – you will have to repeat the entire class.

ROAD LESSON POLICIES

1.  All road lessons must be cancelled 24 hours in advance with our central office during office hours. We realize that things come up, but our instructors are given their schedules 24 hours in advance and cell phone use while driving is illegal.  It is impossible for us to contact them to cancel a lesson while they are on the road!  If you have to cancel on the day of the lesson a fee of $30 for each hour missed will apply.  If you are genuinely sick – we get that – a doctor’s note will prevent the cancellation fee.  Road lessons may not be cancelled via e-mail or via the voicemail system; you must talk to one of our helpful representatives so that they can reschedule you!

2. Road lessons scheduled for Mondays must be cancelled by Saturday at noon. We have Sunday off – yay!

3.  Students MUST have their learner’s permit on them for the driving lessons... it’s the law.  Students that do not have the learner’s permit will not be permitted to drive, and will be charged the $30/hour fee for missing the lesson. We will however make every attempt to get you your permit – we are always happy to wait for a parent to bring it to you so we can at least take you out for a partial lesson.

4. Open toe and open heel shoes sure are the choice for hot summer weather.  We unfortunately cannot allow you to wear them. Anyone that shows up to a lesson without proper foot attire will be driven home to change shoes.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Driving in various weather conditions is an important part of the education process, but we would never sacrifice the safety of our students. In the event that we deem road conditions to be unsafe to drive, we will cancel classes and road lessons. We post our cancellation information on Twitter, Facebook and our homepage, and will always update our office voicemail message. If we do cancel, we will call you to reschedule driving lessons. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

All-Star Driver maintains a no refund, no transfer policy. Once enrolled in a course, driving lesson or testing package, we are not able to offer a refund and the course cannot be completed by anyone other than the initial enrollee. Students have one year to finish their course from the time they are enrolled.
